Downhill Mountain Biking in Pila the Aosta Valley - Italy
Pila is a Mountain Biking heaven because of its bike transportation system and permanent mountain bike down-hill tracks. There are four main ones and three of varying degrees of difficulty divided into downhill and freeride. It’s possible to ascend to a height of 2341 metres by cable car giving a clear 2000 metres of pure technical challenging terrain. These tracks take you along the Du Bois ski slope for around 2600 metres. The starting point is next to the Chamolé ski lift station. Day, half-day and multi-day passes are available. Make it out there and have a blast! Check out Yeti Lodge they are putting together a freeride trip for September 2011.
