Snow in Keswick

After a short drive around keswick earlier today I managed to brave the wintery conditions and captured a few Keswick Winter Landscapes. Surprise view had a fair amount of snow with no one to be seen.

Keswick Christmas lights and a chimney pot sunset silhouette

Picture Postcard Keswick Town trimmed up and looking sweet for Christmas. The lights were switched on by Prince Charles after he visited local Keswick residents including myself after being affected by the Keswick 2009 floods. As nice as the town looks there is still a major clean up going on with skips scattered around the flooded areas , some of them looking like potential hazards themselves being on the main road.

Langdale Chase Wedding Photography

Jason Chambers is an amazing wedding photographer! His photographs are stunning (just take a look at his portfolio) but he's an absolute star for so many other reasons. On the day, he conducts himself perfectly. He's completely invisible during the special moments, capturing excellent candid shots without without intruding at all. He's great at directing posed/groups shots, making everyone feel at ease. Most importantly though, he's just such a nice bloke that everyone enjoys working with him, which inevitably results in great images. Jason also works so hard. He puts every effort possible into ensuring that the images are the best they can be. What more could you ask for?

Keswick Floods November 2009

Keswick Launch pictured here, an area usually full of tourists awaiting their trip on Derwent Water. All boat landings are completely covered with the high flood water.

Just been evacuated from home today due to the constant rain we have been having here in Keswick.
As I am writing this new post (6pm) the rain is still coming down hard and there is talk of Thirlmere Dam being opened as well as high tides.
At the moment, all main roads are closed which lead into Keswick town. The fire brigade and emergency services are still on the go and travelling as far as Bootle to help this disaster zone out.
This has been declared a major incident and is much worse compared to the Keswick 2005 floods.

Just seen footage of Cockermouth main street totally underwater, Looks like it's just going to get worse.

Keswick Portrait Photography

It was great to see Ava again this week and after a year she has certainly grown quick and now walking.
So here a few photographs from the photo shoot capturing tiny footprints on the shores of Derwent Water.
