Winter Walking in the Lake District

Wrap up warm if you are considering Winter Walking in the Lake District as Derwent Water has now frozen and it's getting a little chilly to say the least. Can you believe there are are walkers now walking across the lake over to the islands WOW. Who is going to be first with a lorry load of ice skating boots to hire?

    Yeah it's been pretty cold here but it's warming up just in time to thaw the runway.
